Rome, Ga. — A few weeks after earning the ITA East Region Doubles Championship, men's tennis players Hugo Munoz Reinoso and Reece Farrow represented Adelphi on the national stage at the ITA Cup. 

The nation's best doubles pairings headed to the Rome Tennis Center on Thursday for the round of 16. Munoz Reinoso and Farrow found themselves facing off with the number two-seeded team from Washburn, Tim Hammes and Matthew Earle. 

The 'Cats battled, but eventually fell in two sets, 4-6, 2-6. 

"I'm proud of both doubles teams for the level they brought to the tournament," head coach Rebecca Fakas said. "They represented the East Region well and competed hard against some of the best players in the nation. We are looking to build on this experience, as we finish off conference play this week."

The 'Cats will return to the court when they host Assumption on Sunday at 2 p.m
