Kansas City, Mo. - With the 'Cats riding a sizzling six-game winning streak, the Adelphi University women's soccer team has made its 2023 debut in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 Poll at No. 16, it was announced Tuesday.

It is Adelphi's highest national ranking since 2018, when Brooke DeRosa's squad entered the year as the nation's No. 15 squad in the preseason rankings.

The Panthers have run off a perfect September, following their 2-0 season-opening loss to Wilmington University back on Aug. 31. Since that day, the Brown and Gold have outscored their opposition by an overwhelming 15-2 margin.

Entering Wednesday's league action, Adelphi hasn't allowed a goal at Motamed Field in its last 255:53 of work on the pitch.

Senior goalkeeper Krista Aliscio has also been stellar between the pipes. Her four shutouts, to go along with a 0.50 goals-against average and .842 save percentage, lead all conference netminders.

As reigning national runner-up The College of Saint Rose remains among the nation's elite, Saint Anselm College also represented the NE10 in the rankings at No. 25.

The now-nationally-ranked Panthers are in action tonight at 7 p.m. against NE10 rival Southern Connecticut State University at Motamed Field.
