Mansfield, Mass. - The Adelphi University men's golf team is on the rise following an impressive 2022-23 campaign, and Filip Wetterqvist and Alec Ramos were showered with NE10 All-Conference accolades on Thursday.

A pair of NE10 Players of the Week, Wetterqvist and Ramos are the program's first NE10 All-Conference golfers since Aaron Burton earned the distinction back in 2014.

Wetterqvist carded a pair of 2-under finishes to commence his Adelphi career, but saved his best golf for the end.

In helping the 'Cats return to the NCAA Atlantic and East Region Championships for the first time in almost a decade, Wetterqvist posted a near-season-low 69 in his final round to cement a team-best eighth-place finish at the tournament.

Wetterqvist managed nine Top 15 outings and finished below par on three occasions. His 1-under 212 at the Post Invitational in October included a single-round-best 68 across his final eighteen holes.

While Wetterqvist earned NE10 First Team All-Conference honors, Ramos landed on the NE10 All-Conference Second Team.

Ramos arrived on the scene at the NE10 Championships, where he led the 'Cats with an eighth-place finish. He worked his way back from an opening-round 79, shaving off ten strokes the next day to ultimately card a 6-over 222.

The sophomore proceeded to follow that performance with a third-place finish at the Saint Rose Fall Invitational, and an individual title in the spring at the Long Island Collegiate Championship.

Ramos broke eighty for the entirety of the season and twice even broke seventy -- including his career-low 69 at the NE10 Championship.
