Mansfield, Mass. - The Northeast-10 Conference has awarded
Lindsey Hibbs a fourth NE10 Pitcher of the Week honor in 2023, the league office announced Monday.
In six games last week, Hibbs appeared in every contest, in either a starting or relief role.
Her three starts were all complete-game shutouts. She posted double-digit strikeouts in two of those starts and collected her 500th career strikeout along the way.
Impressively, Hibbs is more than halfway to tying last year's high watermark of 301 whiffs. She currently trails Adelphi Athletic Hall of Famer
Julie Bolduc for the single-season record by 156 strikeouts.
As the second half of the season commences, Hibbs has only surrendered one earned run since the 'Cats returned home from their North Carolina trip in February.
While Hibbs still leads the NE10 in almost every pitching category, the right-hander from North of the Border now ranks among the nation's Top 5 leaders in ERA (0.63) and strikeouts.
Hibbs and the Panthers continue their latest ten-game homestand on Friday (Apr. 7) with a 2 p.m. first pitch at Janet L. Ficke Field against NE10 opponent Assumption University.
