Garden City, N.Y. - With poor weather looming early in the week, the Adelphi University softball team has rescheduled Tuesday's doubleheader with College of Staten Island for Wednesday, Apr. 12 at 2:30 p.m. at Janet L. Ficke Field.

As rain is expected to hit the area Tuesday, the Panthers will instead host their home opener against Queens College on Thursday, when the forecast calls for a high of 52 degrees and sunny weather.

Adelphi is off to a scintillating 8-3 start after last year's NCAA Division II East Region championship-winning season, and sits at No. 15 in the latest NFCA Division II national rankings.
