East Stroudsburg, PA - Following a weekend of three different meets, the Adelphi track and field program sent a small squad to East Stroudsburg's DeSchriver Invite, hosted at the Warriors' Field House on Sunday. 

Sumaira Mayan came away with a second place finish in the 1000 meter race, in a time of 3:18.44 in preparation for Northeast-10 Indoor Track and Field Championships in two weeks. Maddie Gerby and Maggie Hannan both put up PR times in the 5000 event, both racing faster through the 3K portion of the race than last week's outing. 

In the field, Alexa Boller threw an 11.29m weight throw for a new personal best as Kathryn Lynn laned a 12.52m distance to place 14th overall. 

For the men, throwers Andre Francis and Dominic Testani competed in both the shot put and weight throw. Francis landed .16m off his career-best to finish sixth in the field while Testani was .10m from his best in the shot put with a distance of 11.11m. 

This weekend Adelphi will split time at the Fastrack National Invite at Ocean Breeze with another crew heading back to Boston University for the David Hemery Valentine Invite.
