Concord, N.H. - The Adelphi University men's golf team traveled this week to the Granite State Opener, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University at Beaver Meadow Golf Course, and placed sixth among the field.
Nine teams competed over 36 holes on Monday, with the Brown and Gold posting a 16-over 592.
Filip Wetterqvist shined with a team-best 2-under 142, capping off a tie for third place, which led all Adelphi golfers.
Francis Lanuza made his debut on the links, shooting a 75 and 73 in the two rounds, respectively. He ultimately tied for 18th place with a 4-over 148.
Andrew Brunozzi and
Johnny Solari carded a two-round score of 150 (+6) and tied for 24th place in the process.
Alec Ramos shot a 9-over 153 that tied for 32nd place and
Mason Rivera concluded the tournament with a 12-over 156, tying for 39th place.
The Panthers will compete at the Franklin Pierce Invitational next Sunday and Monday (Sept. 18-19) at the Northern Spy Golf Club in Townsend, Mass.
