Mansfield, Mass. - The Northeast-10 announced its Academic All-Conference selections for the spring 2022 season on Wednesday, and Adelphi was the most represented institution with 21 student-athletes honored.
The conference recognized a total of 130 student-athletes across 10 competing teams. Adelphi's 21 selections ties the department's most student-athletes in a single season, set back in the spring of 2016.
In order to be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have started in half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's games, while achieving a 3.30 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or better in the classroom.
Of the 14 schools that make up the NE10, each has at least two athletes on one of the Academic All-Conference teams. Bentley (11), Franklin Pierce (14), Le Moyne (17) and Southern New Hampshire (18) all join Adelphi with a double-digit amount of student-athletes recognized.
Women's lacrosse posts the highest number of representatives with 25, followed by baseball and softball with 18 apiece. Adelphi is led by women's outdoor track and field athlete
Gabrielle Buissereth who garners the recognition for the fourth consecutive season in the Brown and Gold.
