South Hadley, Mass. - The Adelphi University men's golf team closed out its spring season the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by American International College at the Ledges Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.

The team finished in eighth place with a total score of 633 (315-318) at the Par 72 Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. 

Freshman Mason Rivera was the top finisher for Adelphi with a card of 153. He shot a 79 on the first round and improved to a 2-over 74 on the second. 

Teammates Andrew Brunozzi (77-80) and Alec Ramos (74-83) finished tied for 24th with scores of 157. 

Sparky MacLean followed the pair with a card of 166 (85-81), and Luke Bucci rounded out the scoring for the Panthers with a 175 (85-90). 

Post University was this year's Yellow Jacket Invitational champion with a score of 599 (300-299). Franklin Pierce took second (603) and Bentley took third (614) to close out the top three teams of the tournament.
