Bellport, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's golf team took home top team honors at the St. Joseph's Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The tournament was played at the Par 71 Bellport Golf Club where the team shot a two-rounded total of 633 (307-326).
Alec Ramos was the top finisher out of 23 players with a score of 155 (77-78). Adelphi swept the top three slots with
Andrew Brunozzi (158) and Sparky MacLean (159) trailing Ramos in second and third place, respectively.
Luke Bucci carded a 161 (79-82) to end in a tie for fourth place with teammate
Mason Rivera (77-84).
Thomas Fasano and
Kobe Currie finished three strokes away from each other with scores of 167 (85-82) and 170 (87-83).
Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers competing as an individual was
James Murphy. He posted a 178 (90-88) over the two rounds.
The Panthers will return to the links again on Monday, April 18 in Springfield, Mass. for the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by American International College.
