Pomona, NJ - First years Matthew Wenz and Nikki Searles of Adelphi competed at the Osprey Open and Multi invite over the weekend, hosted by Stockton University.

Wenz completed all ten events, placing second overall in a field of eight competitors with a career-high score of 5188. He placed first in the 400 dash, clocking in at 52.66 and topped the group in the discus with a launch of 38.82m. 

Searles placed sixth overall in the heptathlon, out of 13 individuals. Her highest finish in any event was 3rd place, when she ran 17.52 in the 100 hurdles. She improved her shotput distance from the Northeast-10 Indoor Championship by .02 meters and placed in the top ten in every other event.
