Garden City, N.Y. - With a packed crowd inside Woodruff Pool. the Adelphi University men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued its preparation for the forthcoming ECAC Winter Championships with a sweep of Mount Saint Mary College in dual meet action Friday.

The Brown and Gold took top billing in all but two events on the afternoon and prevailed in dominating fashion.

Timothy Yeung and Cooper Rivers each continued their hot start for the men's team with a pair of individual victories. Yeung swam the 200 IM and 1,000-yard freestyle in winning times of 2:07.43 and 10:32.97, respectively, while Rivers led the field in the 50- and 500-yard freestyle at 22.24 and 5:02.95.

The men's 100-free, 100-back and 100-breast all went 1-2 for the Panthers, who earned a 79-14 victory over the Blue Knights on the men's side.

Casey Fonseca finished nearly a full 20 seconds faster than his competition in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking a 1:52.30, and won the 100-yard butterfly in 56.57.

Adelphi's women's swimmers more than doubled up Mount Saint Mary in a 58-26 decision.
