Watertown, Conn. - This past Monday and Tuesday, the Adelphi University men's golf team competed at the Post Invitational and concluded the two-day tournament, hosted by Post University.
The event involved 14 total teams, with the Panthers securing seventh place after lingering around ninth on day one. The squad finished up with a two-day score of 47-over 899.
Another outstanding performance byÂ
Filip Wetterqvist, notching a tie in third place with a score of 1-under 212 and leading the event with a total of 38 pars, only one off the lead scorer with 39. He also led the tournament with an average score of 1-under par on Par 4.
Finishing up in a six-way tie for 29th place is
Mason Rivera. He carded a 14-over 227 in his tournament play.
Alec Ramos capped off his two-day play with a score of 20-over 233 in a tie for 45th place and collected the first eagle for the Panthers this season. He averaged a 5-under par 5 in the tournament, shooting only one stroke behind the leader.
Andrew Brunozzi notched a tie in 50th place finishing only 2 strokes behind Ramos. The senior made 35 pars throughout the two-day event, finishing only three pars behind teammate Wetterqvist.
Johnny Solari tabbed a 29-over 242 with a tie in 68th place, respectively.
The Brown and Gold will play one more time this fall season at the McDonough Cup in Orlando, Fla. on Monday (Oct. 31) and Tuesday (Nov. 1) at Rio Pinar Country Club.
