Garden City, N.Y. - On Wednesday, Ally Muller was selected to the CoSIDA Division II Academic All-America Second Team, becoming just the second player in program history to receive the honor.

Muller earned her spot on the ballot after being named to the Academic All-District Team earlier this month. With her Academic All-America selection, Muller joins assistant coach Brenna Martini as the program's only CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.

In the classroom, she posted a 3.98 cumulative grade-point average and graduated in May with her bachelor's degree in Psychology.

She was Adelphi's top performer inside the circle, backed by a 17-5 record, as well as 178 strikeouts and 13 shutouts, en route to her first-ever NFCA All-America nod.

She held her opponents to a .167 batting average against with an ERA of 1.28.

Muller pitched her team to a second-straight NE10 Southwest Division regular-season title and appearances at the NE10 Championship and NCAA Division II East Regional. She threw 12 consecutive shutouts and 15 complete games during the regular season, including eight scoreless innings against Le Moyne on May 6 to advance to the NE10 Southwest Division final.

She was named NE10 Southwest Division Pitcher of the Year, NFCA All-Region and D2CCA All-America Honorable Mention.

Muller was the only player from the NE10 to receive the honor and was joined by fellow East Region player Kaira Ramon from the University of Bridgeport.
