Nashville, Tenn. - For the third-straight year, the Adelphi University women's bowling team possessed the highest grade-point average of any fellow bowling program across the NTCA Division II membership.

In Dennis Kearney's seven years coaching at Adelphi, his teams have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better, which has resulted in NTCA All-Academic honors and a steady Top 10 GPA ranking in the country.

Additionally, the Panthers have witnessed a gradual increase in their team's GPA each year in Kearney's tenure, including a nation-leading 3.82 cumulative grade-point average in the 2019-20 season.

The Panthers attained a spectacular 3.803 cumulative grade-point average in the 2020-21 academic year and fell less than four-tenths (.38) short of winning the NTCA's highest team GPA award for a second-straight year.

"Time and time again, this team shows what it takes to be a student-athlete at Adelphi," Kearney said. "They take pride in aiming to consistently be one of the top performing teams in our athletic department and around the country."

Each of the six bowlers on Adelphi's roster also achieved NTCA All-Academic status, upon meeting the minimum 3.4 cumulative grade-point average this academic year to qualify.

Kaitlyn Grant and Megan Wehmeier both earned the honor for a third time, after posting exceptional GPA's of 4.0 and 3.938, respectively. Skylar McGarrity (3.81) and Taylor Eggert (3.75) repeated on the list. Kristen Derr (3.467) and Blanca Fraticelli (3.803) collected their first-ever NTCA All-Academic kudos.
