Garden City, N.Y. - Ahead of a 50-game slate, the Adelphi University softball team looks to defend its regular season title in 2022. 
 
Last season, Head Coach Carla Campagna led her team to the program's fourth-consecutive NE10 Tournament final and ninth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.  
 
The Panthers open the 2022 season in North Carolina with four non-conference opponents. The trip is broken up into back-to-back doubleheaders on Feb. 26 and 27 and Mar. 2 and 3 against a brand new opponent in Wingate and just a second meeting with UNC Pembroke. The last time the latter two met was when the Braves took a 2-0 victory over Adelphi dating back to 2008.
 
The Brown and Gold will return home to Janet L. Ficke Field for a string of non-conference doubleheaders through the middle of March, including a pair of games against Georgian Court (Mar. 12) and Bridgeport (Mar. 16) who the Panthers last saw in the 2021 NCAA Regional. 
 
Conference play will begin on the road in New Hampshire, with a re-match of the 2021 Northeast-10 Championship against Saint Anselm on Mar. 26, followed by another pair of games at Southern New Hampshire on Mar. 27. The month of March will close out with a two-game homestand against Caldwell. 
 
April brings 14 home games and 12 away games with just two non-conference doubleheaders set for Felician (Apr. 5) and cross-town rival Molloy (Apr. 7). 
 
The regular season will come to a close with a three-game road slate that will conclude in Albany against The College of Saint Rose on Apr. 30. 
 
The 2022 NE10 Championship is set to begin on May 3 with the second round on May 5, followed by the final on May 7.
