Marc Danin's first week of competition for Adelphi University, he can already claim two Northeast-10 weekly award winners in
Cooper Rivers and
Skyler Nenadich, who were named Rookie and Diver of the week, respectively, the league office announced on Tuesday.Â
Nenadich not only took first in the one meter diving event in a dual meet at Pace, but also topped the field in the three-meter, winning by over 75 points with her total of 262.35. Her mark in the one-meter at 258.53 just reached the qualifying standard for 2021-22, which is set at 255 with a minimal degree of difficulty at 13.0.
Cooper Rivers claimed a pair of individual victories and also assisted in a winning 200 freestyle relay. In the 200 yard freestyle event, he clocked in at 1:46.19 for the victory, the best time in the NE10 this season. He also won the 200 IM in 2:09.56 and swam the final leg of the 200 relay, following Daniel Dalrymple, Brian Klotsche and Frank Genna.
The programs will compete next at the Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday, Nov. 20.Â
