Staten Island, N.Y. - For the second time in 24 hours, the Adelphi University track and field team was back at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Saturday morning, sending a small squad to compete at the Great Dane Classic hosted by SUNY Albany.

For the women, Victoria Major and Kayla Pollock competed in the 400m and high jump events, respectively. Major clocked in a career-best 58.98 in the 400m, to win her finals section and post a 26th place finish overall, while Pollock landed a mark of 1.60m in the high jump to land in 13th place.

On the men's side, Felipe Custodio was the lone competitor representing the Panthers in the men's 400m, capping a strong weekend for the first-year Panther. Custodio finished with a time of 48.55 to land fourth overall in the event, marking the Brown and Gold's first NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time of the season. Custodio's time was his second IC4A/ECAC mark of the weekend, after he posted a 21.82 in the 200m on Friday.

The Brown and Gold will return to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Jan. 19 to compete in the New York City Gotham Cup. Competition will commence at 2 p.m. on Friday.
