Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University proudly launched a new era for the school with the reveal of an online Style Guide and Brand Center in late June. A striking, modern new Adelphi University wordmark, athletics wordmark, and new AU lettermark were introduced.

The new Athletic Adelphi lettermark, formerly known as the "block AU," is created for use when the entire wordmark is not possible.  The new lettermark prominently displays the initials of the university, and is a modern take on the letters sewn on athletic jackets in years past. 

"We are truly excited to embrace the new logos and embody the vibrant brand that is Adelphi University," commented Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Emily Dorko. "The new marks will complement the athletics website redesign which is slated to launch some time in September."

The panther logo also has had a redesign; a bold one-dimensional approach with strong outlines. The last set of athletics marks were created by Phoenix Design Works and were launched in 2008. See the transformation of Panther logos below.
