Roslyn, N.Y. -- A rematch of the 2016 Northeast-10 Championship was on the cards on Sunday, as the Adelphi University men's tennis team did battle with the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen at the Christopher Morley Tennis Center. The visitors proved too strong in the end, as four wins in singles helped them stay perfect in NE10 play, 6-3.

The Panthers' (7-4, 5-2 NE10) three points in the match came courtesy of David Robres de Vecia and Connor Dove, who teamed for an 8-0 victory in doubles to prevent a Penmen (12-6, 7-0 NE10) sweep, and each claimed a win in singles. Robres rallied from dropping the opener at No. 5 singles in a tiebreak to record a second-set bagel and a win in the deciding tiebreak, while Dove rolled to a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6.
