Garden City, N.Y. - On Saturday, April 15, the Adelphi women's lacrosse team is scheduled to host LIU Post in non-conference action at 1:00 p.m. on Motamed Field. Prior to the game, the alumni from both the Pioneers and the Panthers will match up for a cause to play their own game in honor of alumni day. Admission for the game is $8, with all proceeds going to benefit pediatric cancer.
This is the first time either [alumni] team is participating in this type of event.
LIU Post holds an 11-10 advantage in the all-time series between the two teams, with the Panthers defeating the Pioneers last season by a narrow 4-3 decision on April 2, 2016.
Currently the Panthers have maintained their No. 1 spot in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll, improving to 6-0 this season with a 4-0 mark in conference action.
