Men's Tennis Blanks Saint Michael's, 9-0

Colchester, Vt. -- The Adelphi University men's tennis team closed out a weekend up north with a 9-0 shutout of Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference action on Sunday afternoon.

Matteo Cannavera and Uladzislau Litvinchuk capped a banner weekend at No. 1 doubles, recording an 8-0 win for the second straight match, to kick off a sweep in doubles play for the Panthers (5-2, 3-0 NE10). Roey Heymann and Sabin Adrian Saveluc showed grit at the No. 2 spot for the second straight day, edging a tiebreak set once again en route to the 3-0 Adelphi lead.

Litvinchuk remained flawless in singles, delivering a double-bagel, while Heymann dropped just one game to win at No. 3. After Cannavera dropped his first set at No.1 singles, he rebounded in a big way, serving up a bagel in the third set for the victory as the Brown and Gold took victory in all six singles matches to finish things off against the Purple Knights (1-9, 0-4 NE10)
