Kings Point, N.Y. - On Saturday, Nov. 18, the Mariner swimming & diving teams of the Merchant Marine Academy opened their doors to Adelphi University, SUNY Maritime, Pace University, Queens College and Stevens Institute at the USMMA Memorial Invitational at the O'Hara Hall Pool.

After both teams put up fourth place showings in their respective 200-yard medley relay events to open the meet, Olivia Leger came in fourth in the 500 yard freestyle as the top finisher for the Panthers in a time of 5:54.27. In the 200 yard IM event for the women, Emma Brown came in third (2:24.01) and Daniel Lee also placed in the same position for the men, finishing in 2:04.96.

Jacqueline Vani and Amanda Crosby both completed top-10 finishes in the 100 yard breaststroke, coming in third and sixth, respectively. JV Sarabia and Jack Wheeler also placed in the top-10 in the same event, both posting times just over the one-minute mark. There were no team scores kept at the event.

Eian McKeon was the lone member of the men's team to put up a first-place finish at the meet, topping all competitors in the 400 yard IM in a time of 4:34.23 for the first time this season. Crosby and Kristen Tzavelis were two seconds apart in the 200 yard breaststroke event, placing second and third, the former posting a season-best time.
