Manchester, N.H. -- The Adelphi University men's tennis team was handed its first Northeast-10 Conference loss of the season at the hands of the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen on Saturday, 9-0, at the SNHU Tennis Courts.
The Penmen (3-6, 2-0 NE-10) set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches, including a pair of 8-1 victories.
Uladzislau Litvinchuk and
Sander Brenner posted the closest score for the Panthers (3-5, 3-1 NE-10) on the day in doubles, but fell by an 8-4 final score.
SNHU kept it rolling during singles play, and posted straight set victories at all six flights. Brenner again had a hand in the most contested match of the day, but eventually fell to Miguel Marreiros 6-2, 7-6 at the No. 2 slot.
The Panthers return to the courts for a 12 pm match vs. Le Moyne on Tuesday, March 29.
