Brewster, Mass. - The Adelphi University men's golf team traveled to Brewster, Massachusetts on October, 23 and 24 to compete in the 82nd New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship at the Captains Course, placing eighth in the field with a team score of 657.
Southern New Hampshire (308-308) won the team title by nine strokes over Saint Anselm College (314-311), 616 to 625. Bentley University (325-302-627), the College of Saint Rose (314-315-629) and Franklin Pierce University (313-318-631) round out the top-five teams, while Assumption's A.J. Cooney, Saint Anselm's Stephen Hunt and Southern New Hampshire's Matt Paradise tied for the individual championship with scores of eight over par 152.
Devon Neudorf led the Adelphi charge, placing 22nd overall with a score of 17 over par 161 (79-82), while
Jack Conlon (82-80) and
Nick Kelapire (81-81) were one stroke back in a tie for 23rd at 18 over par 162.
Peter Jeranek rounded out Adelphi's four scorers, finishing in a tie for 38th thanks to a two-day total of 172 (84-88).
