Mansfield, MA - The Franklin Pierce Ravens and Pace Setters have claimed the top seeds in the 2015 Northeast-10 Baseball Championship, the conference office announced on Sunday.
Franklin Pierce, the top-ranked team in the NCAA East Region, finished the regular season 42-2 overall, 24-1 in the conference and 20-1 in the Northeast Division. Pace wrapped up the regular season with a 21-17 overall mark, while going 12-8 in the NE-10 and 12-6 in the Southwest Division.
Southern New Hampshire earned the No. 2 seed in the Northeast Division with a 16-5 record in the division, while American International garnered the second seed in the Southwest Division after going 10-8 in its division.
Stonehill (15-6 NE) and New Haven (10-8 SW) will be the No. 3 seeds. Merrimack (9-12 NE) and Adelphi (9-9 SW) round out the NE-10 Championship field as the fourth seeds.
First-round games will begin on Tuesday. Adelphi will visit Pace at 2 p.m., while New Haven will travel to American International for a 3:30 p.m. game. Franklin Pierce will host Merrimack at 7 p.m., and Southern New Hampshire will welcome Stonehill with the first pitch set for 6 p.m.
The Northeast-10 Championship Weekend will be hosted by the highest remaining seed in the Southwest Division and will run from Thursday, May 7 through Saturday, May 9, weather permitting.
