Garden City, NY - For the final time of the 2014-15 academic year, the MetLife's Legacy Advisors Players of the Week will be selected. This week's honorees are both from the Adelphi University track and field program as Angela Mongitore and Nick Filippazzo have been named this week's award winners.

Mongitore advanced to the Saturday final of the 400 meter race at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a 55.16 time in Thursday preliminary. She bettered that time to 54.63 for a school record and All-American status behind a fifth place finish.

Filippazzo closed out his career with two All-American nods at last week's NCAA Outdoor Championships. First, the Wantagh native claimed fifth place in the 10,000 meter on Thursday with a time of 30:10.51 followed by a 14:22.71 time in the 5,000 meter on Saturday for third place.
