Colchester, Vt. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team picked up its third straight win, and second on the road, on Friday afternoon as the Panthers defeated the host Purple Knights, 9-0, in Northeast-10 Conference action.
The Panthers (8-4, 8-1 NE-10), who checked in at No. 7 in the first edition of the East Regional rankings that were released earlier this week, set the tone early with three wins in doubles over the Purple Knights (1-7, 16 NE-10). At top flight, 
Matteo Cannavera and 
Uladzislau Litvinchuk partnered for the second straight match and again came out with a victory, winning by an 8-1 score. 
Chiwete Njokanma and 
Justin Vijungco were also nearly flawless at No. 3 doubles, dropping just two games, while 
Sander Brenner and 
Sebastian Zapata came out the winners of a tight 8-5 match at No. 2 to secure the doubles sweep.
Cannavera and Brenner led the way on the singles court for Adelphi, as the pair dropped one game combined at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Litvinchuk and Njokanma dropped four games each to the tune of 6-3, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-2 wins, while Zapata and Vijungco put together solid performances in their eight-game pro sets at fifth and sixth sinlges.
