Box Score Garden City, N.Y. - Devan Crimi, Alexa Froccaro and Jackie Jahelka combined for 15 goals, pushing the second ranked Adelphi University women's lacrosse team past the visiting Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), 22-5 today, April 5 on Motamed Field. With the victory, the Panthers keep it clean in the loss column at 11-0 overall and 6-0 in the Northeast-10, while the Penmen slip to 2-8 and 1-5 in conference action.

Crimi led all players with eight points on six goals and two assists, while Froccaro had six points with four goals and two helpers and Jahelka found the back of the SNHU five times. Danielle Jaycox had three goals and one assist, while Rachel O'Brien racked up three assists and one goal. Taylor Hayes made one top, pushing her season win total to double digits, at 10, while Jordann Dempsey made one stop in relief.

The Adelphi defense forced 11 turnovers on the afternoon, getting two each from Jacqueline Williams, Ryley Weber and Camille Rosellini. Felicia Mills helped the Brown and Gold control the action with 10 draw controls, while Weber collected a game-high seven ground balls. Williams and Rosellini also had multiple ground balls in the win, as Williams grabbed four and Rosellini had three.

Adelphi got off to an uncharacteristically slow start against the Penmen, scoring just two goals in the first 10 minutes. The Panthers found themselves leading by just one, 2-1, but Jaycox put a ripple in the back of the SNHU net at the 19:16 mark to kick start an 8-0 run that took just 7:14 and ended on a Kate Beier goal, putting the Brown and Gold in control, 10-3.

The Penmen would stop the bleeding at 9:13, with their second goal of the game, 10-4. Five more minutes would pass without a goal for either team, until Crimi's third goal of the game put Adelphi back up seven, 11-4 and was the first of three Panther goals in the final 4:30, sending the home team into the locker room with a 13-3 cushion.

Adelphi opened the second grame with four straight goals, including three straight from Crimi, to push their advantage to 14, 17-3 and essential end the suspense, putting the game out of reach. A Danielle Montano tally off an Emily Keesling feed with nine ticks left would produce a final score of 22-5.

Adelphi out shot the visitors, 43-18, committed less turnovers, 11-24 and grabbed more ground balls, 24-17. The Brown and Gold also racked up 10 more draw controls then SNHU, 19-9.
