Box Score Garden City, N.Y. - In a non-conference contest Monday afternoon on William J. Bonomo Memorial Field, the Adelphi University baseball team earned a 9-4 victory over Concordia College. With the win, the Panthers improve to 18-16 on the season as the Clippers fall to 6-20 overall. 
Senior captain 
Richard Mejia led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Teammate 
Nick Zito went 2-for-5 at the plate with two RBIs and one run scored for the Brown and Gold. 
John Bivas relieved starter 
Stephen Bove in the fifth inning to pick up his second win of the season as 
Michael Ceparano appeared on the hill in the middle of the eighth to close the game and earn the save. 
Adelphi held a 1-0 lead going into the top of the fourth inning, but had to fight back from a threatening four runs scored by the Clippers. 
Tyler Decker helped the cause by driving a solo shot over the right field fence with two outs in the bottom of the fourth.

Vincent Sharkey contributed back-to-back singles to set up rookie 
Michael Stack who singled to right, scoring Hutzel. 
Trailing 3-4 heading into the bottom of the fifth, the Brown and Gold struck again scoring three runs on five hits to make the score 6-4 in favor of Adelphi. 
Brandon Stahl and Mejia registered back-to-back singles to start off the inning. Zito's hot bat drove a ball to the left side scoring Stahl to be later followed by Mejia has 
Eric Hassell blasted a double to the left center wall. 
The Clippers were held to just two hits from the Adelphi bullpen from the fifth inning on. Adelphi tacked on three more runs- on in the bottom of the seventh and two in the bottom of the eighth to earn a 9-4 non-conference victory. 
The squad returns to NE-10 Southwest Division action on Wednesday, April 23 as they travel to New Haven, CT to take on the Owls of Southern Connecticut State College. The team will host Dowling College on Thursday April, 24 in non-conference action slated for 3:30 p.m. on William J. Bonomo Memorial Field.
