Box Score Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University baseball team hosted Le Moyne College in a Northeast-10 conference, Southwest Division matchup Saturday afternoon to conclude the series. The Dolphins scored seven runs in the top of the eighth inning to earn a 21-8 decision over the Panthers. Adelphi falls to 17-16 overall and 7-6 in the division as Le Moyne improves to 13-7 on the season and 4-4 in divisional play.

Cliff Brantley went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. The team combined for 13 hits in the loss. Four of Le Moyne's players recorded four hits apiece, and Donato DiNorcia blasted a three-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to end up with four on the day.
The Dolphins wasted no time, jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first on four hits and two Panther miscues. The Brown and Gold would cut into the visitor lead in the bottom of the second inning, scoring three on two hits.
Rich Cambria walked to lead off the inning to be later driven in by a Brantley double to right field. A Dolphin error followed up with an groundout would send home two more Panthers to make the score 5-3 heading into the third inning.
The Green and Gold bats were relentless as they put up nine runs over the next five innings. The top of the eighth inning the visiting team busted open the game, scoring seven runs to make the score 21-4. Adelphi opened the final frame with a
Rob Burns single and Houghton walk.
Tyler Decker ripped a ball down the left field line to start the scoring for the Panthers. Back-to-back singles pushed across two more runs but it was not enough to escape the deficit that was created.
The team returns to action on Monday, April 21, as they host Concordia College (N.Y.) in a non-conference contest at 3:30 p.m. on William J. Bonomo Memorial Field.
