Jaycox found the back of the Skyhawk net just 48 seconds into the contest and Jahelka and Froccaro followed suit minutes later. After nearly nine minutes of scoreless play, the hosts got on the board to cut the Panther lead to just two, 3-1. But, the final 10 minutes the momentum swung back in Adelphi's favor, thanks to tallies from Jaycox, Keesling and Jahelka, giving the Brown and Gold a 6-1 halftime cushion.
Froccaro opened the second frame with another Adelphi score, this one coming 1:29 after the first whistle. Stonehill responded by taking advantage of two Panther penalties, changing a 7-1 deficit, into a more managable 7-3 hole. However, the Brown and Gold put a strangle hold on the game in the final 10 minutes, scoring three of the final four goals, to depart South Easton with a 10-4 triumph.
The Panthers held an edge in every category across the board, taking more shots, 34-14, committing less turnovers, 13-18, winning more draw controls, 9-7 and collecting more ground balls, 30-21.
