Orlando, Fla. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team was shut out for just the second time this year when the Bluefield State College Blues defeated the Panthers 9-0 in non-league play on Friday. Adelphi now stands at 6-4 overall while Bluefield State moves to 6-2 on the season.
The Blues won handily in all but one match, which saw
Chiwete Njokanma take on Piotr Kruk at No. 5 singles in an eventual 5-7, 7-6, 10-7 defeat.
The Panthers are dormant until next week when they travel to Stonehill College for a Northeast-10 Conference match on Friday at 3 p.m.
