Waltham, MA –
Earlier this afternoon, the #2 women's lacrosse team took on the #8 Falcons of Bentley University in a Northeast-10 Conference contest. Courtesy of a four-goal opening half run, and another run of six in the second, the Panthers managed to secure their 13th win of the season by way of a 20-11 victory. With the win, Adelphi moves to 13-1, 10-1 NE-10 while Bentley's record stands at 10-5, 7-3 NE-10.

The first 5:37 of action in the opening half was Panther dominated with Erica Devito (3G), Sara Sangiorgio (3G, 1A), Alexa Froccaro (3G, 1A) and Marissa Mills (4G) all putting in the first of their multiple goal games. Impressively, the quartet combined for 13 of the Panther's 20 total goals in the game.

Bentley's Jackie Brown (4G) temporarily put a band aid on the bleeding, putting in her first of four goals to finally get her team on the board at 4-1. Alex Carney, Brown, Taylor Bastien, Chelsea Larivee and Amy Ernst all put in a goal for the hosts, bringing their first half total to six.

On the other end, two goals by Meg Brown (3G), and Felicia Mills (2G, 1A) and one by Devan Crimi (2G, 1A), Froccaro and Mills kept the Panther advantage at five with the score reading 11-6 at the break.

Cori Geiger cut the lead to four on a successful free position shot, but Adelphi responded with six unanswered goals to grow their advantage to 10, the largest of the game.

Bentley would go on to score on four more occasions, but it just was not enough as Adelphi proved to be too much to handle and secured the win on the 20th and final goal of the game by Sangiorgio.

The Panthers outshot Bentley 41-25, picked up 16 ground balls, was successful in all but one clear (16 of 17), and converted on 5-10 free position shots.

Jordann Dempsey picked up her 11th win of the year as she logged all 60 minutes in cage, allowed 11 goals and made seven saves.

The #2 Panthers are back in action when they travel to New Haven, Connecticut to take on the #6 Chargers of the University of New Haven in their final Northeast-10 Conference matchup of the season.
