Men's Tennis Dropped by Merrimack, 7-2

Andreas Hammar took a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles against Merrimack.

West Hempstead, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team lost its second straight match with a 7-2 setback against Merrimack College on Sunday. The Panthers move to 5-9 overall and 5-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the Warriors jump to 11-5 overall and 5-0 in the league.

After Merrimack swept doubles play, Andreas Hammar and Bryan Kallenberg took wins at No. 1 singles and No. 4 singles, respectively. Hammar assembled the top performance of the day for Adelphi, winning 6-1, 6-2 at the top singles slot.

The Panthers return to action on Friday when they travel to Bentley University for an NE-10 match at 3 p.m.
