Panthers win second straight heading into final week of regular season

Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team won its second straight match with a 9-0 shutout of Caldwell College in non-conference action on Monday. The Panthers improve to 7-10 overall with the win, while the Cougards drop to 1-8.

The Panthers played truly dominant tennis with six set victories coming via shutout. Ryan Villaruel and Bryan Kallenberg teamed up for an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles, and Richard Ferguson was untouchable in his 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 6 singles.

Adelphi plays its last Northeast-10 Conference regular season road match on Wednesday when the Panthers travel to Stonehill at 2 p.m.
