Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team suffered a 7-2 defeat at ASA College in a non-conference match on Thursday. The Panthers now stand at 2-4 on the season and will look to snap a three-match losing streak when they travel to the University of the District of Columbia on Sunday, March 11 at 12 p.m.
Adelphi posted a strong showing in doubles play, taking two out of three matches. Juniors
Andreas Hammar and
Adrish Tewarie played to a 9-7 win at the No. 1 slot, and freshmen
Ryan White and
Chiwete Njokanma took a 9-8 (7-1) win a No. 3 doubles.
