Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team fell to NYIT by a score of 8-1 in a non-league match on Thursday. The Panthers drop to 3-6 on the season, while the Bears climb to 5-1 on the strength of a five-match win streak.
Andreas Hammar picked up the lone win of the day for Adelphi, prevailing 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
The Panthers return to action on March 24 when they head to Saint Michael's College for a Northeast-10 Conference match at 1 p.m.
