Philadelphia, Pa. - The Adelphi University men's tennis opened up its spring schedule with a  7-2 setback at Philadelphia University in non-conference action on Sunday.
Adrish Tewarie earned the lone singles win, prevailing 8-6 at the No. 6 slot. 
Andreas Hammar battled to the end at the top spot, forcing a tiebreak before falling, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8). On the doubles side, 
Ryan White and 
Chiwete Njokanma took Adelphi's only victory to the tune of 8-2.
The Panthers, now 2-3 on the season, head to ASA College for a non-conference match on Thursday at 12 p.m.
