Philadelphia, PA- This past Saturday the Adelphi University men's tennis team traveled to Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia where they defeated the Griffins 5-4. With that the Panthers improve to a perfect record of 2-0 and the Griffins become 3-2 overall.
Senior
Andreas Hammar outplayed all his opponents, winning 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles position and in the No. 1 doubles position with partner
Alan Chocron, 8-6.
Other standouts include No. 6 singles player freshman
Sander Brenner who won 6-1 and 6-0. Brenner and partner senior
Bryan Kallenberg won at No. 2 doubles 8-5.
The Panthers will compete in their final fall match Sunday October 14, against the Bears of NYIT at 12 p.m.
