Game One/Game Two
Garden City, N.Y. - 
The 16th-ranked Adelphi University baseball team hosted the Skyhawks of Stonehill College this afternoon in a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader. Adelphi won the first game, 6-2, but fell in game two, 4-2. Adelphi is now 26-10 and 12-6 in the league, while Stonehill stands at 16-12 and 11-5.
Game One
For the Panthers, senior Justin Ciamillo went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI, while classmate Chris Weidlein finished 3-for-4. Fellow senior Mike Scudero earned the win, throwing 7.2 innings, giving up two runs and striking out nine. 
Sophomore Justin Farnum drew a bases loaded walk, followed by sophomore T.J. Humrich driving in a run on a fielder's choice, accounted for the two early Panther runs in the bottom of the first. In the third, junior Trevor Thorstensen lined an RBI single, sending home Ciamillo and giving AU a three-run lead. 
In the bottom half of the fifth, Adelphi would take a 4-0 lead when Ciamillo scored from third on a wild pitch. In the sixth, the Panthers would add two more runs, their final two of the game, on RBI singles from senior Anthony Anzalone and Ciamillo.
Stonehill would get on the board in the top half of the eighth, scoring two runs on RBI base hits from Mitch Davis and Rich McHugh.
For the Skyhawks, Scott Hackett went 2-for-4, while Bryan Galligan suffered the loss, giving up nine hits and six runs in 5.2 innings of work, and striking out three. 
Game Two
For the Panthers, Anzalone went 2-for-5, while Weidlein and Thorstensen drove in the lone Panther runs. Sophomore Chris Pabisch struck out five and gave up two earned in 5.2 innings, taking the no-decision.
Adelphi would get their two runs in the first and second inning. The first run came on an RBI ground out to short from Weidlein, followed by a sacrifice fly to right field off the bat of Thorstensen.
The Skyhawks tied the game in the sixth inning on a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly out. A Angelo Bruno RBI double in the seventh proved to be the game-winning run. Michael Von Stein added a sacrifice fly to right field in the same inning for insurance. 
For the Skyhawks, Hackett went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Bruno went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Shane Penzone got the win, giving up five hits and striking out one in six inning. 
The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, April 20 when they host nationally-ranked Southern Connecticut State University at home at 3:30 p.m.
