North Attleboro, Mass - Newcomer Ada Isik impressed over the weekend at the Wildcat Regional Invtiational, earning her the Northeast 10 Defensive Player of the Week recognition, announced on Monday by the league office.

Isik was close to averaging six digs per set as the Panthers went 4-0 at the Wildcat Regional Invitational. In total, the junior was responsible for 80 digs, 17 assists and seven service aces over four matches. She had back-to-back games with 25 digs in both the Wilmington and Daemen matches, as well as reaching a career high of eigh assists against Daemen. Isik also nearly saw a double-double against Daemen as she accounted for 25 digs and eight assists. 

The volleyball team will return to action this week, taking on the University of Bridgeport on Thursday, Sept. 17, and St. Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday, Sept.19 both at home in the Center for Recreation and Sports.
