North Attleboro, Mass. – The Adelphi field hockey team was selected to finish fourth in the Northeast 10 Coaches' Preseason Poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers garnered 61 votes, including two first-place votes. They finished 11 votes ahead of fifth-place Southern New Hampshire and two votes behind third-place Bentley.

The Brown and Gold return 15 players from last season's team, headlined by NE10 Player of the Year and NFHCA First Team All-American Lana Mignon De Wet, as well as All-Conference selections Caroline Beakes and Jena Geels. The team's key departures include All-Conference selections Kelly Johnson and Katie Dettore.

Although the roster features familiar faces, the Cats have a new leader at the helm in Margaret Maclean. The former New Haven head coach played three years at Pace, bringing high levels of coaching and playing experience..

Maclean and the Panthers open the 2026 season on Thursday, September 3 at 3 p.m., welcoming Kutztown University to Motamed Field.
