Bellmore, N.Y. – Stay active, challenge yourself and support a great cause this summer by joining the 2026 Summer Miles Challenge, hosted by EliteFeats in partnership with the Adelphi University Cross Country program on August 14.
Open to runners, walkers and cyclists of all ages and ability levels, the event will feature a 100 meter dash, one-mile and two-mile elite race at Wellington C. Mepham High School in Bellmore, New York.
Those who register will receive a commemorative keepsake bib, ultra-soft tank top and finisher medal.
"This challenge is about creating consistency, encouraging healthy lifestyles and bringing people together through movement," said Adelphi Cross Country and Track and Field head coach Katie Rees. "Whether you're training for your next race, staying active with family and friends, or just beginning your fitness journey, the Summer Miles Challenge provides an opportunity for everyone to set a goal and celebrate their accomplishments."
Participation in the one mile event is paced at $20, and proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Panther cross country harriers. Check-in and clerking will begin at 4:00 p.m. with races starting as early as 5:00 p.m. Miles will run slow to fast.
