North Attleboro, Mass. - Following a vote of the league's head coaches, both the Adelphi University men's and women's cross country programs have been selected to finish fourth in the 2026 Northeast 10 Preseason poll, announced on Thursday. 

The men, coming off a fourth place showing a season ago at the NE10 Championship a year ago, return their top five finishers, led by All-conference harrier Maxwell Krapf. Adelphi sits two points behind Bentley in the poll, as the Falcons received one first place vote. Topping the list is Southern Connecticut, who received nearly all of the first place votes and have won the last four championship races. 

On the women's side, Adelphi took sixth as a team in the 2025 Championship, led by seniors Lucia Kutner and Maya Suarez. Finishers three and four for the Panthers, Christina Sakellis and Natalie Niselson both return to the 15-person squad, put together by head coach Katie Rees. 

Adelphi will race a home-heavy schedule this season, competing four times at the Bethpage Polo at the Park grounds, considered their home course. Opening meet day is set for September 4 as the team is also slated to host the NE10 Championship in November (Nov. 7), followed by the NCAA Division II East Region races (Nov. 21).
