Johnstown, Pa. – Adelphi University's men's golf team wrapped up an impressive season with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional on Saturday afternoon at Sunnehanna Country Club.
Entering the tournament as the No. 1 seed in the East Region, the Panthers battled through challenging conditions to finish at +29 as a team.
The Cats finished fifth overall, falling just two spots short of the cut. Wheeling was the final team to advance at +26, only three shots ahead of Adelphi.
Ike Rothman led the way for the Brown and Gold, tying for 16th individually with a three-round score of +6. The freshman accumulated 11 birdies over the tournament and posted his best round on day two, carding a 70.
Francis Lanuza continued his strong postseason stretch, tying for 22nd overall at +7. The senior mixed in eight birdies, highlighted by an opening-round 68.
Mitchell Archer finished tied for 30th overall at +9 for the tournament after shooting an even-par round during Saturday's final 18 holes.
Johnny Solari wrapped up his remarkable career at Adelphi with a score of +11 for the tournament. His best round came during round two, when he shot a 72.
Zeus Sara rounded out the Panthers' starting lineup, finishing at +17. The round wraps up a successful first season for the freshman
The regional appearance capped off a remarkable 2025-26 campaign for Adelphi, highlighted by five tournament victories and the program earning the No. 1 seed in the East Region heading into NCAA play.
Head coach David Mattana and the Panthers will now look ahead to the fall as they prepare for next season, with hopes of another run at the Northeast 10 Championship and a return to NCAA competition.
