4/27/2026 10:00:00 AM

North Attleboro, Mass. - For the second consecutive year, the Adelphi University men's lacrosse program will take three of the league's major postseason awards, leading 14 selections, the Northeast 10 office revealed on Monday.

Christian Tomei becomes the fourth straight Goalkeeper of the Year and the program's sixth major winner all-time since joining the league in 2010. Following a three-year run from Dylan Renner, Tomei currently leads all of Division II in goals allowed average and save percentage, while holding all NE10 opponents (minus Saint Anselm) to single digit scoring during the regular season.

Ries Bower doubles up on his Defensive Player of the Year honors, becoming the first Panther to win it back-to-back. Rounding out the major postseason honors, Kyle Lewis was named the Player of the Year, making it three consecutive for Adelphi and the fifth player to win it overall. Bower was also NE10 Co-Rookie of the Year in 2024, making him a major award winner each year in college.  The Canadian junior was also named national Defensive Player of the Year by the USILA last spring.

The hero of last season's overtime NCAA championship win, Lewis followed up his All-American year with another 25 goal and 18 assist comapaign in 2026 thus far.  He's steered Adelphi to an undefeated record and season-long No. 1 ranking.

The trio lands on the All-Conference First Team and is joined by six other individual stars. Offensively, Braden Donnellan, Michael Durning and Danny Fisenne all fit the bill, while Gavin Herzog, Carter Linkletter and Michael D'Alessandro represent the dark side.

Another three athletes appear on the Second Team in Vincent McDermott, Stephen DeAmicis and William Greaves, while Noah Gibson gets himself a spot on the Third Team.

A quiet year for rookies, first year Michael Reilly picks up All-Rookie recognition for the Cats, due to his performance on the faceoff unit.

Adelphi is set to host the conference semifinal on Wednesday, April 29. After leading the way in Division II all season at no. 1, the Panthers earned the top-seed by way of an undefeated regular season. They will take on #4 Assumption at 7:00 p.m., who defeated Saint Michael's College in the quarterfinal round on Saturday.
