Gilbert, Ariz. — A hot start to the spring season for both the Adelphi University men's and women's tennis teams has garnered national attention for the Panthers.
In the most recent ITA national rankings, the women came in at No. 21, while the men are ranked No. 25.
This is the first time the women's team has earned a national ranking under head coach
Rebecca Fakas and marks the highest ranking in program history for the men.
Both teams are undefeated in Division II play to start 2026 and are hungry to bring home a Northeast 10 title.
Individually,
Katarina Liedbeck earned the first national ranking of her career, coming in as the No. 75 singles player in the country. In 2025–26, she boasts an 8-1 record as Adelphi's No. 1 and is undefeated against Division II opponents.
Liedbeck and
Roisin Boyd continue to be one of Division II's top doubles pairings, rising to No. 13 in the ITA rankings, their highest national ranking so far.
Thomas Horsley and
Louca Bertone, off to an undefeated start in spring doubles play and 7-1 on the year, are now ranked No. 34 in the country.
