Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University Student Athlete Advisory Committee is excited to announce its upcoming promotion with Make-A-Wish Metro New York, starting on Tuesday, March 24.
Each home game for the spring sports in that week will be part of the "Week of Wishes" in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish. Any donations raised will go directly to supporting a wish for the Metro New York chapter. For the full list of events, see below.
NCAA Division II has partnered with Make-A-Wish since 2003, and since then has donated over $6.8 million dollars to the mission. Make-A-Wish plans every wish with one goal: to transform the life of a child with a critical illness.
In addition to accepting outright donations (link above), individuals wishing to support the cause can purchase a Make-A-Wish star to be on display inside the Center for Recreation and Sports.
- Tuesday, March 24 - Baseball vs. Dominican (N.Y.) - 3:00 PM
- Wednesday, March 25 - Women's Lacrosse vs. Pace - 4:00 PM
- Wednesday, March 25 - Men's Lacrosse vs. Mercy - 7:00 PM
- Saturday, March 28 - Softball vs. Assumption - 12:00 PM
