North Attleboro, Mass. - Following a single game week for the Adelphi University men's lacrosse team, three different players have earned Northeast 10 Conference weekly honors.
Michael Durnin,
Carter Linkletter, and
Michael Reilly have all been recognized for their efforts as Player, Defensive Player and Rookie, respectively.
The Panthers defeated St. Thomas Aquinas College, 20-8, and each of these individuals were a big part of the victory.
Durnin accounted for a team-leading eight points (tied with
Noah Gibson) after scoring five goals (in six shots on goal) and adding three helpers. In addition, he scooped up five ground balls.
Defensively, Linkletter was all over the Spartans, collecting six caused turnovers while accounting for a pair of ground balls. Reilly had another over-.500 performance at the faceoff X, finishing 10-for-17 with seven ground balls. He also added an assist.
Adelphi was scheduled to travel north this week for non-conference action, but the weather has caused the program to cancel the trip. The squad will prepare for their next opponent, in Seton Hill University, who finished as the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Champions. Sunday, March 8 will feature the first-ever meeting between the teams.
